Kids Crafts with Nuts
Article by KarensVariety.com

A fun and imaginative craft for children. Provide nuts and empty nut shells and other assorted craft accessories. Give them an idea or two and let their imaginations do the rest.

Create animals, people, toys. Walnut halves can be turned into animal bodies (turtles, mouse, etc. with felt heads, legs and tails). Acorns can be turned into animal babies. Whole peanuts make wonderful miniature people. Create funny character heads using larger nuts with yarn hair and painted faces. A fleet of boats with cloth or paper sails can be made from nut halves.

Ideas for Craft Accessories:
glue
scissors
paints
markers
felt
pipe cleaners
pompoms
toothpicks
craft sticks
yarn
macaroni
rice
ribbon
buttons
sparkles
