Fancy Crochet Stitches

Seven different fancy crochet stitches to use in any of your crochet patterns.
 

Ridged Treble 1

Both sides of the work are the same.
Work the same as a treble stitch but work into the back loop only of the loop at the top of each stitch.
Treble
Crochet a chain of desired length plus 3 turning chains. turn.
1: Miss the first 3 chains from hook, * yarn over hook twice, insert hook into 3rd chain from hook.
2. Yarn over hook and draw yarn through stitch (4 loops on hook).
3. Yarn over hook and draw yarn through 2 loops (3 loops on hook).
4. Yarn over hook and draw through 2 loops.
5. Yarn over hook and draw through the last 2 loops on hook (1 loop).

Ridged Treble 2

Right side of the work only is ridged.
Work the same as a treble stitch but:
Row 1: Work into the back loop only of the loop at the top of each stitch.
Row 2: Work into the front loop only of the loop at the top of each stitch.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 to form the pattern.

Basket Weave Stitch

Similar to the treble stitch but instead of inserting the hook through the loops at the top of the stitches, the hook is placed around the stem of the treble stitch from back to front.
Crochet a chain having multiples of 6 plus 2 turning chain.
Row 1: 1 tr into 3rd ch from hook, 1 tr into each ch to end, ch 2, turn.
Row 2: Yarn over hook, insert hook from back of work between 1st and 2nd stitches around 2nd stitch and back between 2nd and 3rd stitches, draw new loop of yarn through and work 1 tr in usual way, work 2 more tr in this way on next 2 stitches (3 tr Bk), * yarn over hook, insert hook from front of work between next 2 stitches around stitch and back between next 2 stitches, draw new loop of yarn through and work 1 tr in the usual way, work 2 more tr in this way on next 2 stitches (3 tr Ft), work 3 tr Bk.
Repeat from * to last 3 stitches, work 3 tr Ft on next 3 stitches, ch 2, turn.
Row 3: As Row 2.
Row 4: As Row 2.
Row 5: * Work 3 tr Ft, 3 tr Bk. Repeat from * to end, ch 2, turn.
Row 6: As Row 5.
Row 7: As Row 5.
Repeat Rows 2 to 7 to form the pattern.

Crazy Pattern

Crochet a chain having multiples of 4 plus 8 chain.
Row 1: Miss 3 ch, work 3 tr into next ch, miss 3 ch, work 1 dc into next ch, * work 3 ch, work 3 tr into same chain as dc was worked, miss 3 ch, work 1 dc into next ch.
Repeat from * to end of row, ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Crochet 3 tr into dc of previous row, * 1 dc into top of 3 ch loop on previous row, work 3 ch, work 3 tr into same ch loop as dc was worked.
Repeat from * to end of row ending with 1 dc into last loop, ch 3, turn.
Repeat Row 2 to form the pattern.

Shell Pattern

Crochet a chain having multiples of 8.
Row 1: Miss 3 ch, work 5 tr into next ch, miss 3 ch, * work 1 dc into next ch, miss 3 ch, work 5 tr into next ch, miss 3 ch.
Repeat from * ending with 1 dc, ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Work 3 tr into dc of previous row, * work 1 dc into 3rd tr of 5 tr shell of previous row, work 5 tr into the next dc of previous row.
Repeat from * ending with 3 tr to form half a shell, ch 3, turn.
Row 3: Work 5 tr into dc between half shell and first complete shell on previous row, * work 1 dc into 3rd tr of next 5 tr shell of previous row, work 5 tr into next dc of previous row.
Repeat from * to end of row, ending with a complete shell and 1 dc, ch 3, turn.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 to form the pattern.

Bobble Stitch

Crochet chain of desired length.
Row 1: Work 1 dc into 3rd ch from hook, 1 dc into each ch to end, ch 3, turn.
Row 2: * Yarn over hook, insert hook into next st, draw 1 loop through loosely, (yarn over hook, insert hook into same space, draw loop through loosely) twice, (7 loops on hook), yarn over hook and draw through 7 loops, 1 dc into next st.
Repeat from * to end, ch 2, turn.
Row 3: Work 1 dc into back loop of each st to end, ch 3, turn.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 to form the pattern.

King Solomon's Knot

Row 1: Put a slip loop on hook and make 1 ch through the slip loop, * draw loop up to 1/2", yarn over hook, draw new loop of yarn through forming a loose ch stitch, insert hook between double and single loop of ch stitch and draw yarn through, yarn over hook, draw new loop of yarn through both loops on hook making one knot stitch.
Repeat from * to required length, make one more knot stitch with 3/4" loop and one with 3/8" loop, turn.
Row 2: Work 1 dc into 3rd knot stitch from hook, * work 2 knot stitches drawing loop out to 3/8", work 1 dc into next knot st of previous row.
Repeat from * working 1 dc at end of row into 1st ch of beginning row, make 1 knot stitch with 3/4" loop and 1 knot stitch with 3/8" loop, turn.
Row 3: Work 1 dc into 4th knot from hook, work as given for Row 2 working last dc into knot in centre of turning stitches.
Repeat the Row 3 to form pattern.
To work the last row, work 1 knot stitch with 1/2" loop between dc to match Row 1.
