50 Ways to Use Crochet Edgings
Article by KarensVariety.com

Crocheted edgings add the finishing touch to any item you make. They serve two purposes; visual and practical. A plain project can be visually appealing by adding a beautiful edging. As well, edgings can smooth irregular edges and keep them from curling and stretching.

Edgings can be made with cotton thread or yarn in any colour. This versatility allows them to be added to many different items. Use matching or contrast colours.

Use edgings that make a statement: Irish clover, floral edgings, religious for your Church or baby Christening, Holiday themes; Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Halloween.

Common uses for edgings are linens:
1. Doilies
2. Towels
3. Pillow cases
4. Sheets
5. Tablecloths
6. Runners
7. Handkerchiefs
8. Napkin rings. Add a snap to a wide edging and you will have a lovely napkin ring.

Adapt these edges to clothing.
Clothes can be quite inexpensive if they are purchased with out embellishments. You can easily add a narrow or wide wide lacey edging to a T-shirt, fleece shirt, blouse, skirt, pants or jeans, summer dress or that little black dress.
